Matsyasan (Fish pose) is counter pose of Sarvangasan (Shoulder Stand Pose). In Sarvangasan (Shoulder Stand Pose), we get stretch on back, neck etc. In Matsyasan (Fish pose), we get a stretch on upper and lower abdomen, front neck, front side of thigh etc. So, this pose should be done after Sarvangasan (Shoulder Stand Pose). Steps of Matsyasan (Fish pose) -

Sit on Padmasan (Lotus pose) first. Once settled on it, lie down on the floor.
Now, touch respective big toe with the fingers of respective hand, meaning right big toe with right hand fingers and vice versa.
Now, try to bend your neck towards the floor and try to touch crown of the head to the floor.

This is a Matsyasan (Fish pose). It does not need a strength like Sarvangasan (Shoulder Stand Pose), but need a practice to get a command over it.

Precautions to take before doing Matsyasan (Fish pose) -

Consult with doctor before starting to do this asana (pose).
This asana can be done in the morning or evening, but only with an empty stomach or after 3-4 hours after having food.
Don't press yourself to get position if not feeling comfortable. Do it only till you feel comfortable.
This asana should be done after Sarvangasan (Shoulder Stand Pose) as it creates a stretch exactly to the opposite side of the stretch created in Sarvangasan (Shoulder Stand Pose).

Benefits of Matsyasan (Fish pose) -

This gives a stretch to Thyroid, muscles in an abdomen and adrenal glands.
This is beneficial to improve digestion and blood circulation in abdomen and back, both.
Due to proper stretch to abdomen, it automatically improves immunity.
It reduces extra layer of fats on the abdomen.
It increases production of blood.
It helps to keep puberty for many years.
It helps to regenerate an energy/power wasted in Masturbation.

आज या लेखामध्ये आपण सिद्धासनाचे फायदे अणि हे आसन करायची योग्य पद्धत किंवा विधी याबद्दल माहिती घेणार आहोत. सिद्धासन हे मुख्यत्वे मानसिक एकाग्रतेसाठी उपयोगी ठरते. तसेच कुठल्याही प्रकारचे श्वसनाचे व्यायाम अथवा ध्यान करताना सर्वात सहज अणि सोपे आसन म्हणून याचा निश्चित उपयोग होतो. माणसाच्या मनाचे शत्रु समजले जातात ते षडरिपु म्हणजे काम, क्रोध, लोभ, मोह, मद, मत्सर यांवर नियंत्रण मिळवून देण्याची ताकद या आसनामध्ये दिसून येते.  सिद्धासन आसनविधी सर्वप्रथम जमिनीवर अथवा आसनावर बसावे. उजव्या पायाची टाच शिवणीखाली (गुदद्वारापाशी) ठेवावी डावा पाय उजव्या पायावर ठेवावा. बाकीचे शरीर ताठ ठेवून दृष्टी सरळ ठेवावी. (काही मंडळी दृष्टी नासिकाग्रावर अथवा दोन भुवायांच्या मध्ये  देखील ठेवतात) दोन्ही हात गुडघ्यावर सरळ ठेवावे. मनात कुठल्याही उत्तम विषयाचे अथवा परमेश्वराचे चिंतन करावे.  श्वास नैसर्गिकरित्या  होईल तेवढा घ्यावा.  या अवस्थेमधे काही वेळ बसून मग दुसऱ्या बाजूने आसन करावे.
